Quick report

Sun breaks plus temp inversion caused trees and rocky cliffs to begin shedding rollerballs around noon on solar aspects. Snow surfaces were becoming moist but wet avalanches were not observed before we left the zone around 12:30. The driest snow - albeit not the deepest - was found around 3800’ in shaded terrain.

Avalanche

NE 5270’ natural wind slab D1 likely ran on 1/10 crust. Ran about 150’ in Tooth rappel gully.
