Quick report

Cracking
isolated

LOTS of new snow. Deep, cold snow in the morning. In-and-out clouds most of the day. Good riding conditions on north aspects with little-to-no wind effect. Kicked off two D1 soft slab on convex roll-overs on south-facing aspects at the end of day. Both went at my feet and both were ~30cm down on a inter-storm rain layer. Cracking/slides were quite isolated to south aspects and below 5500'.

Little wind in the alpine. 2-3" of new snow on 3/17 but closer to 8-10" of new snow in the last 3 days.

Snowpack

3-4" of snow below 3000' on the Eldorado Creek drainage. Above treeline ~4400' this steps up significantly. 2-3" of new snow came down on 3/17. Trail breaking was quite deep, maybe 10-12" nearly everywhere with the deepest in the trees. Above treeline snow was well-settled with little-to-no wind effect. The snowpack looks quite healthy above treeline. Recent storms have done a good job of filling in surfaces.
