Quick report
The January 8-9 N-NW wind event altered the upper snowpack in alpine terrain significantly: scouring slopes down to old debris piles and rocks; creating dunes and ripples over large areas; forming sastrugi; filling in some old avalanche crowns; and loading isolated areas. The wind affected a decent chunk of middle elevation terrain, mostly filling in ski and sled tracks. We did not see any fresh avalanches.
