The juice ended being worth the squeeze today. Which was nice because conditions were juicy. There is about 20 cm of new snow at mid elevations. The January Drought Layer beneath the new snow is supportable at mid elevations and it becomes punchier based on how hard you turn at lower elevations. At lower elevations with a little extra effort, I could push lose wet avalanches on specific terrain features.
