Quick report

On my tour today of Galena Ridge and Tamarack, the weather varied from partly cloudy to socked in with fog. I dug the pit at 8900 feet on the north north west facing slope at 12:15 PM there were 55 cm of snow with the bottom 15 cm very rotten and faceted. Snow hardness was this four fingers down until the faceted layer where it was fisted. There was no rain crust. Extended column test failed on my sixth tap and propagated rapidly and cleanly! This is much more reactive than I expected. Unfortunately, I did not have time to do a second test.
