Snowpack
Dug a quick pit. Fresh. dry 20cm settled snow from the 1/9 to 1/10 storm. Then older snow, various crusts in bottom half of the snowpack. CT27 failed on the deep PWL(~15cm). However, the point of most concern seems to be what I surmise is the more recent PWL (likely Jan 2)- a very hard crust 40cm from ground where ECT17 failed across the entire column, slid several cm on 23 bed degree plane. See picture for fracture propagation toward bed surface.
