Quick report
While we have poor structure, we did observe rounding and cohesion in the basal facets (1F-4F) in the lower snowpack. Our layer of interest on W and NE was 20-25cm down Andesite test results showed generally poor structure with a 20-25cm moist fist hard slab over MFC and 1-2mm facets. We got CT19 SC down 25 on this layer on NE Andesite at 7,600 as well as CT14 SC on this same interface at 8,100 on the West side of Andesite. A PST ARR 90/100 on this layer showed planar potential without propagation on this slab/weak layer combo. With new loading and enough existing slab over these small facets, expect wider instability and our persistent slab moving from largely stubborn to more reactive.
