Quick report
Went out on the hunt for snow deep enough to ride/ slide. Observed avalanche terrain, N-E aspects with no recent avalanches. Rode N aspects from 4,300ft to 6,400 ft. Didn't find anything worthy of leaving the road for. Roughly 18-20 inches of snow above 6,000 ft. 6 inches of old, faceted snow at the base of the snowpack above 6,200 ft. Top foot was "blower", fist hardness. Suspected poor bonding of the new vs old snow. Snowed lightly (S-1) throughout the day. Calm winds from the N. Not enough snow to safely travel off trail on foot or on machine.
