Quick report

Cracking
isolated

An April snow dump that hit hard, it's definitely still winter out there with a fresh batch of snow and more on the way. All this new snow will need time to bond and is sitting on top of a weak layer just above the old wind board. Once this new snow becomes more cohesive we could see some slabs breaking above the wind board.

Some cracking in the new snow

Snowing last night continuing this morning but letting off, clouds slowly disappeared throughout the day. Very little wind.

Snowpack

The new snow is mixed with last week's snow sitting on top of a thin crust with the near surface facets (weak layer) above the season's wind board.

Once this new snow is more cohesive or gets more snow we could see instability at this weak layer

Avalanche

Saw a couple small loose snow slides from the storm
