Quick report
I found a mix of supportable crusts, softening "corn" on solar aspects, and settled powder on sheltered slopes. Overall, stability was good, with the only signs of instability being roller ball activity on steep, sun-warmed slopes that previously held the most snow (N and E). I did not conduct any snow stability tests or dig beneath the surface. • NE Slope (Ascent): Snow surface was variable. A supportable firm crust was present, interspersed with pockets of softer snow. No ski crampons required. • South Face: At 12:15 PM, conditions below 6,000' had transitioned to soft, spring-like "corn." The upper 200' remained very firm and wind-affected. • West Face: Similar to the South face, it started firm at the ridge but transitioned into smoother snow at lower elevations. Some debris from tree shedding (ice/hard patches) • East Face: Held some recycled powder in between old roller balls. I did not observe any rollerball activity and would assume they were a couple days old.
