<p>The current snowpack structure may not be poor, but all layers continue to weaken and facet. A relatively long crack was observed on a convex, wind loaded, and bushy roll on a NW facing slope at 9500' (see attached photo). </p>

Another high pressure day at the beach provided more than enough time and opportunity to continue to catalog the progression of the faceting of the snowpack. A profile dug on a protected North at 9500' tells the tale. Attached is a photo of a few depth hoar crystals from the layer from 10cm-24cm. Another interesting sight (see attached photo), is evidence of previous NW winds following the departure of the last storm through an exposed burn zone - beautiful.
