Remotely triggered avalanche from roughly 150 feet away skinning the ridge. Andrew was walking and stepped on a thin area where the sage brush was poking through the snow surface. We felt the slope drop and watched the crack travel up the ridge and the avalanche occur. The structure was a hard slab of wind-drifted snow above the pronounced weak layer near the ground.
