Also observed high marking in the bowl west of the Duchesne Ridge weather station had triggered a small, presumably wind slab, likely on the 15th or 14th.
Snowpack
- Instability Comment
- <p>Snowpack has three easily identifiable weak layers; the Buried Surface Hoar, Faceting around the Christmas Eve Rain Crust and depth hoar at the base. Despite this the snowpack generally lacks enough structure to produce results (see pit attached). </p> <p>Recent snow transport over the previous days has created small wind slabs along crest features. </p>
