Mild and clear. Cold in the shade. Winds were drifting snow only at ridgetop. The drifting patterns look to be only building new cornices and not drifting on to slopes below.
Avalanche
A recent large natural avalanche was observed. This avalanche may have been triggered by cornice fall from recent drifting. Although the avalanche was relatively narrow, the debris pile was deep enough to bury a person.
