Quick report

We went out to Pinnacle to derime the skin track set in days previous. Clearly, the wind has returned. Ridgelines and faces exposed to it show and feel evidence of wind affect in additional density. We dug at around 6700ft on a NE aspect that was not particularly wind affected; didn’t see much in our results and certainly no propagation (ECTN11 on the new snow/zipper crust interface about 15cm down; HS210cm). Skis were mostly overcast with some patches of sun. Winds were light to none. While it was snowing when we left the car, that stopped and only brief flurries happened later in the day. Temps below freezing. Visibility was enough to give us some hints about surrounding large terrain but just faint enough to make it hard to see crowns or debris to report.
