This mornings forecast mentioned a moderate risk at mid to upper elevations and a low forecast for lower elevations. Being hesitant with a low forecast following a storm so closely and with recent snow in the valley I wanted to confirm the forecast. During my extended column test I was unable to produce any fractures. That being said it was noticeably colder than usual and my test may have a bit light with cold hands. The forcast was spot on and the skiing was lovely.

- <p>The little snow from last night sat on top of the grouple storm from yesterday afternoon; roughly around 7200 - 6500 ft. The < 6in of new snow ran fast and far in a loose dry sluff, but was very manageable. </p> <p>I dug roughly 100cm to the ground and performed an extended column test. There were no noticble fractures or propogation in the snow pack. Digging into the PWL the snow was well bonded and much denser than expected (see attached image). </p> <p>Density of the snow was a fist to 95 cm, 4 fingers to 70 cm, 2 fingers to 50 cm and one finger for everything below (see attached image). </p>
