The AM held obscured skies, moderate to strong SW winds, and varying amounts of precipitation. The stormy weather cleared by early afternoon, and it was cold and windy with blue skies and sunshine.
Snowpack
I went for a small tour this afternoon after the stormy weather cleared. I experienced moderate SW winds with strong gusts, and observed moderate to intense levels of blowing snow in the alpine, and near and below treeline. While touring, I encountered a variety of wind affected snow surfaces on all aspects and at all elevations.
