Quick report

Good views from Gothic Peak on Monday showed the Ruby Range had experienced a minor shed cycle following last week's storm - harmless (D1) wet loose avalanches involving just the recent snow, along with one larger cornice fall on Baldy.  On Tuesday, I noticed a surge of wet loose activity on northerly aspects, gouging deeper into the snowpack, D1-D1.5.

Weather

At 11,000', temperatures have not dropped below freezing in the past few days under a warming trend and mostly clear skies.

Snowpack

On Monday, ideal corn around 8 a.m. on east aspects N/ATL, following a so-so refreeze.  Snowpack was unsupportive to boot pen after that.
