Dug a pit and measured a snow depth of 120cm. Got an ECTN 18 (no propagation) on a weak layer of loose graupel about 35cm below surface. Did a shovel shear and was able to shear off the layers above that graupel surface as well. Shear quality was overall smooth with some inconsistencies due to spatial variation in the graupel. No red flags observed today besides those from our snow pit. Great skiing among the aspens!
