Quick report

There was more new snow than we expected and plenty from the rest of the week. Notable accumulation throughout the day with some sun breaks later in the day. North aspects did not have the sun crust, but skiing was excellent on all aspects. Pretty light for snoqualmie. Dry loose action in the avalanche trees. Lots of travelers in the BC.

Avalanche

We saw numerous small storm slabs trigger on solar aspects throughout the day. New snow appears to be poorly bonded to the thin sun crust on southerly aspects. When traveling up to the snow lake divide before the source lake slopes we were easily triggering slabs on tests slopes by whacking them with a ski pole. These would propagate across the features and remote trigger on other features occasionally.
