Quick report

While walking the road, I glassed and took photos of various basins. This walk was primarily to continue inventorying coverage across the area. On the back side of Rae-Wallace, many slopes were peppered with visible rocks, and seemingly the only consistent coverage was in steep, shaded couloirs or gullies. This was similar to the slopes north-east of the Pinnacle and the cirque near Didikama. Looking towards the mouth of Lane Basin, slopes ranged from dirt and exposed rocks, to okay coverage along the upper elevations—again in "sheltered" gullies or couloirs. Off the road, I found 7-10" of weak faceted snow rather unscathed by recent winds, with intermittent areas of wind-compacted, stiff snow at the surface.
