Snowpack
The snow/rain mix today formed a soft, thin melt-freeze crust up to around 9,900' around the compass, which appeared to destroy the surface hoar up to that elevation. Near surface facets remain preserved below the crust. Above 9,900', the surface hoar appeared to remain intact with moist new snow surrounding it. Only a few cm's of snow; no new snow instabilities yet.
