Quick report
We toured up to 6700' on Tunnel Ridge to enjoy the sunshine and observe the carnage from recent avalanche cycles. Temps in the low 20s at the trailhead. Despite the temperature inversion, upper elevations did have a thin Melt/Freeze crust that quickly disintegrated once the sun came out. Where the Melt/Freeze crust remained frozen we encountered slide for life conditions. Terrain sheltered from trees did not refreeze overnight. We dug a pit on a NE aspect to check out the January Junkshow. On a leeward aspect it was buried three feet deep. ECTX on the Junkshow. Skiing was mix mix of crusts grabbing at your edges or mashed potatoes where it didn't refreeze. Better day for views than skiing.

We observed too many avalanches to count today. At least 15 crowns looking towards Mount Grant, Liebig, and other surrounding terrain. Most of these crowns were older and slightly filled in, most likely from the AR event. Almost every slope steep enough for wet loose avalanche problems seemed to have slid in the last two days.
