Quick report

Generally a locked-up spring snowpack with small isolated pockets of thin (~10cm), easily-triggerable wind slab within recent snow above 8000’. Clear skies, cold temps (overnight) and a light breeze kept the surface snow held together well throughout the day. We found decent corn skiing between 6k’ and 8k’ in the afternoon too (rare for the Flathead)! Saw previous WL activity on solar aspects to 8k’, one old small WS pocket at 7k’ (W aspect) that appears to have ripped during the big warm-up last weekend and a single small glide crack.
