Quick report

Snow is falling! We had good coverage on the highway today for our ski out towards Todd. A mist was falling for most of the afternoon but turned towards snow as it was getting dark. Praise Ullr.

Avalanche

Was out for a Nordic tour today with a buddy. We observed roller balls on the face of the small butte near the Todd lake horse camp. Later we observed a small crown (D1, probably somewhere between a 6” and 1’, roughly 15-25 ft wide) below treeline in little Alaska on an E/SE facing slope around 6400’. The slope was 35 degrees at least. It was too late in the day to get closer for true assessment or photos.
