Quick report

Day started sunny. Hit snow level around 4.4k but thin on steep southerly aspects. Creek beds were open and found solid crossing around 5.4k. Dusting of snow in trees as climbed and easy skinning above treeline. As climbed higher a squall quickly rolled in as we were getting ready to drop to upper index creek. Was mixture of heavy snow to some graupel around 6.2-6.6k. Hard to estimate how much snow fell. Skies later cleared into the evening and weather was calm overnight. Snow height at lake Edna was about 130 cm on solid ice. Snow on N facing aspects was good quality

Avalanche

We saw evidence of wet slides off of steep solar aspects and rocky terrain. There was not much observed avy activity due to overcast skies and a squall. No evidence of instability as dropped N facing terrain
