Quick report
Toured up Silver Fir, including a detour to the Grand Junction warming hut. Drizzly and warm, but clear conditions from the parking lot up to the top of silver fir chair, where the wind picked up substantially. In the trees on the xc trails, lots of water drips and tree bombs coming down off the trees, but mostly appeared to be due to temperature and not wind. Some tree bombs turned into roller balls on small steep slopes just off the skin track. Moved over to Summit West for some laps in the afternoon, which had fog/low clouds sitting at about 3200ft and above, with moderate rain stating just before 1pm. At both Silver Fir and Summit West, snow coverage was decent enough overall, but still lots of exposed creeks, brush, and sharks.
