Quick report

Red Flags Comment

One recent avalanche seen from warming (yesterday?) on a SW aspect at around 8000' (pictured). Some small dry loose running on the supportable crust earlier in the day and wet loose later in the day but both very small and only in very steep terrain.

Snowpack

Overall structure was about 4-10" of medium density and settling snow from the last storm (more in protected and loaded areas) sitting on top of a 2-6" supportable crust that was thinner at higher and more northerly areas with damp snow underneath. Solars were warming up throughout the day and lower mid and lower elevations were softening up to ski OK, but at upper elevations still held a zipper MF crust. Lower elevations were getting damp by end of tour. Was able to ski down to around 6000' (cautiously)
