Quick report
During the ascent, unsupported steep microterrain failed at the interface between the new snow and the rain crust in the lower drainage. We saw a single set of bear tracks going from cave to cave during our ascent through the gulley, even smelling a faint ursine scent. Pit results at 2800'/N produced ECTX on a 15-degree slope. Snowpack height at pit was 170cm 35-40cm recent snow over 1F rain crust
