Quick report
Toured up Stone Mountain. Encountered all kinds of snow conditions. We avoided all avalanche terrain. Below ~1200' the snow was generally not impacted by the recent wind, with soft conditions. Above that we can into a lot of thick wind slabs, some were barely edgeable while others had softer unconsolidated snow on top about 1" thick, ride quality was very mixed. We topped out at 2320' where the clouds limited visibility. Warm day in the upper 20s, snowing lightly from 1:30PM until we got to the car at 2:30PM, basically no wind.
