We could see evidence of recent natural avalanche activity on the big east facing avalanche paths in the Wellsville Mountain Wilderness. The most obvious or perhaps most recent was in Gibson Canyon below Mendon Peak.
Drifting was still going on at upper elevations, and we could see deep drifts of wind deposited snow where slopes were cross-loaded
