Lots of wet loose snow activity on steep solar terrain over the last few days.

Snowpack

Instability Comment

As slopes that face the sun heat up during the day they fall apart in time and turn to mush prone to sluffing.

As ridge-lines receive heat from direct sunshine the backside of cornices become weak allowing them to fail more readily.

It has not quite consolidated to corn out there yet but its soft and skis pretty well with the right timing; powder-corn. Wind pressed areas with sun affect seem to be some of the more smooth and supportable skiing out there.

It seemed like S and SE was skiing well today at about 11 (pre time switch) above 9k
