Avalanche Peak

Experienced a variety of surfaces on our tour out to Avalanche Peak, nothing of concern until we made it to the base and higher up on the apron of Thin White Line, where we began to see various shooting cracks and collapsing in the snowpack. As we climbed higher, we dug several hand pits, all of which failed on isolation 12-18 inches deep. Ended up bailing near the top of the apron.
