Snowpack was relatively quiet below treeline compared to Evan's visit to this area last Friday. We got a couple of localized collapses around 10,500' and non-propagating results on the same slope. Around 11,300', signs of instability became common, with numerous rumbling collapses, a few smaller localized collapses, and some shooting cracks. We attempted to trigger a couple of suspect start zones remotely from ridgetop without any results. 2/2 surface hoar was present in every pit near and below treeline, typically 5 to 12 mm.
Numerous collapses, some rumbling across entire slopes once we emerged from canopy cover at 11,300' until our turnaround at 11,800'. Some of these were on low-angle start zones (<35 degrees) without releases. We didn't touch any steeper slopes.Weather
