Quick report
We rode from Catherine Creek Sno-Park to near Flagstaff Butte traveling on all aspects except NW between 4000ft to 6500ft. While we did not travel in avalanche terrain, we did observed a distant avalanche on a SE slope that was around 6800ft. Hand shear tests showed evidence of wind slab with a depths of 5-8” at exposed locations between 5800-6550ft. No rollerballs were seen, but warming occurred throughout the day with refreezing near the 4000ft elevations around 4pm.
