It was a very wind slab reactive day out there. During the south skin up to longs I experienced shooting cracks and 2 sudden collapses. Small wind slab broke during skin. It was a story of navigating in low angle terrain through the wind loading. The loading wasn’t even. Some areas was stiff snow, scoured ice snow, and soft snow on top. The winds were overall wailing out there. Made it to the ridgeline to explore conditions and tried to traverse towards ingalls, but gusts of 40mph winds were hauling for long durations that we had to hunker down as they were strong enough to push us around. We waited for them subside to turn around. Going down longs we checked out a short chute and noticed it was loaded near the top. Ski cutting caused the whole thing to go. Snow was enjoyable in the trees.

At 6000’ I performed a ski cut in a short chute like feature in longs pass south facing. A small 4” deep by 10’ wide wind slab broke off and slide down approximately 20’ and then triggered a larger avalanche, d1.5, the whole thing ripped. The crown of the bigger avalanche was about a foot.
