Quick report

Cracking
isolated
Collapsing
isolated

Pretty sure I felt some minor collapses (tho no whumphing) but snow so light/unconsolidated and deep (2-3’ in places per pole pics), hard to say. Even w the new snow, beware of creek breaks on Log Road (and slow-going up and down on Glade). Finally, make sure to not pass on opportunities to verify w Ski Patrol avy mitigation plans with every oppty on days like today. Called in morn, knocked on closed ski patrol door late morn and saw another skinner headed toward TDH, but when I saw a group of patrollers at top of lift, I should have conveyed plans and doublechecked again. A very loud bang nearby as I was making my way back to Bob Strand Ridge along Upper Cutoff is what inspired the (ironic) exit audible to Log Road.

Avalanche

Triggered very small dry sluff avy on shorter steep NNW feature in well-anchored area around 4300’ navigating skiers left of prominent cliff band desc to Log Road from Bob Strand ridge area. At same time ski had associated shooting crack. See pics for both.
