Skied both days (Tuesday-Wednesday) during the storm in Grant Creek. By Wednesday new snow amounts over 2' were widespread, with winds swirling and cross loading. Near ridge tops, or in wind-exposed mid-slope locations, isolated convexities were easily propagating 10-20' and 6-12" deep. These avalanches were not running far or propagating beyond the isolated initiation zone. Terrain management allowed for safe skiing, but skier-triggered avalanche probability appeared quite high by Wednesday. In sheltered terrain, new snow did not hold slab characteristics and deep unconsolidated snow is the norm.

Numerous small skier triggered soft slabs 6-12" deep were easy to trigger on any convex location in upper slops locations that had been exposed to wind.
