Quick report
We found a wet, heavy snowpack. On steep road cuts, the entire snowpack was beginning to pull away, forming glide crack-like features. The overall snowpack is still weak, and there's considerable uncertainty about how it will react to the warm and wet weather pattern we've experienced over the last week. For these reasons, we chose to stick to simple, low-angle terrain.

Snowpack
We dug a test pit in protected trees on an SE aspect, 5400 ft. In our extended column test, we found propagation mid-snowpack failing on buried surface hoar above a crust(ECTP21 40cm down BSH) . The entire snowpack in this location was wet. You could easily make a snowball at any layer.
Avalanche
Easily kicked off small wet point-release avalanches on steep road cuts.
