Stevens pass to Skyline Lake, NW into the bowl and up the eastern flanks of Tye peak to the saddle S of summit

Down lower in the basin I got frequent, audible whumphs that propagated through open areas- whether 1m between 2 trees or 30m in an open clearing. No visible signs, but very audible. Certainly enough to keep me off the steeper E slopes of Tye peak. Upper snow was dry, loose, unconsolidated. Skiing steeper N aspect into the bowl I couldn't get the snow to budge.
