Quick report

Northside of Mt. Baker is looking to be in pretty good shape. We noticed a solar crust up to 7,500' but above that there was still cold, dry powder on steep north facing terrain. There are large rime 'chickenhead' formations on the serac of the North Ridge, with blue-icy bulges. Above and below the serac the north ridge was soft powder. Bergschrunds are acting pretty hollow; we had a few collapse on us, nobody went in them but worth noting that some snow bridges are not as solid as earlier in the year.
