Quick report

Day 2 of our motorized avalanche level one class, in the Blue Lakes area. Our group consisted of snowmobiles and snow bikes. The weather stayed cooler due to high overcast clouds throughout the day. Winds were prevalent near ridge lines and wind prone areas with occasional gusts. Our group dug multiple pits for learning purposes on a NE/E face low angled slope at 8100’. When doing a shovel tilt test we found shear at 10cm of depth. We did not see any signs of instability throughout the day.
