There were no signs of instability, no new snow, clear skies, and limited wind. The team planned to travel in NW -facing and shaded slopes above 7,500 ', the plan was to step out but avoid forecasted problem areas such as wind-affected slopes at high elevations with exposed rocks and thin coverage. Around 8,100' we dug pits and conducted compression test, deep tap, extended column, and propagation saw tests. results were CTN, DTN, ECTX, and PST/ ARR 80cm/100 respectively. After our pits, we skied NW-facing chutes on Copper Mountain. We experienced stable snow packs with some dry loose slough . Great Day in the Mountains.
