Numerous avalanches were observed on both the N and NE side of Snaggletooth Ridge. They ranged in width from 50' to 200' and ran about the same though the longest ran up to 500'. Many were repeat runners from our last cycle on December 28. This terrain is quite extreme, most of it steeper than 40 degrees, and heavily wooded with rocky chutes. Some of the slides appeared to step down, or fail on different weak layers. The two likely weak layers are Nov facets above the Oct MF layer, and Dec facets above a Nov MF crust.
