Quick report
We climbed Deadman/Etna Peak (Point 8189) via southwest ridge. Snow cover was a generous 5 inches for the majority of the ascent until reaching 8000' at which point the snow was perhaps 1 foot deep with no cracking or instability. Snow was safe due to low snow cover.
