Quick report
We went to Tamarack Peak today to make snowpack observations. Overall snow coverage in this area is great. Settled soft surface snow continues to exist in untracked areas with skipen of around 4''. There was evidence of previous NE-E wind scouring along with raised tracks that we could see on higher elevation terrain. Most of the wind scouring appeared to be limited to near and above 10,000'. Little to small amounts of snow is available for future wind transport and we did not observe any blowing snow today as the South winds became gusty by midday.

Mostly sunny skies with mild temperatures this morning. The near by Slide Mountain sensor (9650') was reporting temperatures in the low 40's during our time in the field. Increasing clouds and winds from the south by midday.
