Quick report
We carried a load into Bench Hut, where the previous renters reported rain overnight. A 2–3 cm thick crust extended up to the hut (~7,500') with about 20 cm of recent snow. At lower elevations, runnels indicated that rain had percolated through the upper snowpack. Today, 1–2 cm of new snow accumulated atop the crust at hut level, with light rain falling on our exit.
