Moderate wind transport at ridges and even mid-slope minor ridges, primarily morning to midday. Isolated snowpack settling near the Snow Lake Divide, 10 to 20-ish feet down from the ridge on the Snow Lake side. Two mid-storm crusts petered out around 4300'.
Avalanche
Source lake basin, 4750' elevation, SW aspect, near Phantom Trees Wind slab triggered by skier on a steeper turn adjacent to a small mid-slope ridge. The ridge produced wind loading, which is what slid. Wind transport was evident. Slide surface was low density snow a couple inches above a breakable crust. Crown depth varied, 8 inches at its deepest section. Slide propagated roughly 60' in width. Runout was short and skier was able to self arrest, avoiding a ride with the avalanche.
