Quick report

Traveled around the Lake Elsina/Dinah area from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Cloudy skies during most of the day, with some brief moments of sun or snowfall. Temps near freezing above 6,000 ft. New snowfall around 1 inch, calm winds during the day. Overnight refreeze was minimal, crust was 1/2 inch thick. Crust supported the weight of machines on flat surfaces, but upper 2 feet of the snowpack was heavy, moist snow that was easy to trench into. Observed many cornice falls on SE-N aspects. E aspect cornice falls had triggered wet slabs in multiple locations, but no other cornice falls triggered any slabs. Stability remained steady through the day, no rollerballs or other signs of instability were witnessed.
