Quick report
Tracklog (of marginal utility), pictures (even less so), and captions (ditto) are posted here: https://www.strava.com/activities/11496348305 Straight down the middle was 400' vertical. But will be rapidly nipped at both the top and the bottom, especially with the intense traffic today. Both the skier's right dogleg and skier's left dogleg were still connected, good for 500' and 550' vertical, respectively. But those might have become disconnected even by later in the afternoon. Note that my tracklog is potentially misleading for snow cover: from the skier's left dogleg, I hiked at first over non-snow areas until I intercepted my skintrack from the skier's right dogleg. Otherwise, what you see in the tracklog is the extent of what is still skiable. And the concentrated tracks up high are all that is available there, with rocks starting to poke through the mogul field troughs. So overall, after the rain coming in for Memorial Day, will probably be reduced to only novelty skiing.
